Each session is one hour, in a small group, with practical exercises, real conversations, and take-home practice.
Showing Up
What is ACT? Building safety, group norms, and an introduction to psychological flexibility.
Naming Feelings
Acceptance: learning to make room for difficult emotions instead of fighting them.
Thought Defusion
Tools to step back from unhelpful thoughts and the stories our minds tell us.
The Present Moment
Mindfulness and grounding skills informed by polyvagal theory.
The Observer Self
Discovering the part of you that has been there the whole time — your stable self.
Values
Identifying what really matters and what kind of person you want to become.
Committed Action
Building a values-based plan you can carry beyond the workshop, with peer support.
Who It Is For
The workshop is designed for young people aged 12 to 18 who are navigating anxiety, low mood, school stress, identity, or neurodivergence — and who want practical, evidence-based skills they can actually use.
Families and carers are included in the journey through optional parent briefings at the start and end of the programme.
